A 10-12-week program providing opportunities for hands-on biomedical research.

## Experience Hands-on Research and Explore Research Careers

At participating institutions, Boehringer Ingelheim scholars are assigned to a mentor and laboratory. Each scholar conducts a hypothesis-driven research project, developed jointly by the scholar and mentor, over a period during the summer. At the end of the program, scholars present their findings to their peers and attending faculty at the Veterinary Scholars Symposium. Supporting activities provide opportunities for students to learn about the broader aspects of research and potential research careers.

### Participating Schools

Students currently enrolled in an accredited veterinary medicine program are eligible to apply to any of the institutions listed with an active Boehringer Ingelheim Veterinary Scholars Program.
