Our purpose at Boehringer Ingelheim is to transform lives for generations, and we are dedicated to improving access to healthcare especially for underserved communities. Our charity partners for 2025/26 embody these commitments and we are so inspired to be contributing to their fantastic work.

As nominated and voted for by our UK employees, we are proud to be supporting two exceptional organisations: Barnardo’s and Pets As Therapy.

These charities are making a real difference to the lives of both people and animals by offering essential medical care, funding research, offering emotional support, and giving a voice to those who struggle to be heard. Barnardo’s

Nearly one in three children in the UK are living in poverty, a reality that highlights just how vital Barnardo’s work is. For more than 150 years, the charity has provided stability, guidance and a dependable place for children and families to turn when they need support. Today, Barnardo’s continues to help children and young people feel safer, happier, healthier and more hopeful by running 760 specialist services across the UK and campaigning for a system that gives every child a fair chance. Their determination to ensure no child is left behind sits at the heart of everything they do.

Pets As Therapy (PAT)

Pets As Therapy (PAT) is a national charity that supports the health and wellbeing of thousands of people across the UK, helping ensure that everyone can benefit from the comfort and companionship of an animal. Through their nationwide network of volunteers, PAT creates meaningful moments of connection and helps improve wellbeing in places where the gentle presence of a therapy animal can make a real difference.
