Boehringer Ingelheim employs about 3,000 Animal Health employees in the United States, including roughly 500 at the U.S. Animal Health headquarters in Duluth, Georgia, just outside of Atlanta.

Boehringer Ingelheim operates two other Animal Health sites in Georgia. The Gainesville, Georgia site manufactures approximately 40 billion doses per year of poultry vaccines for the global market. The Athens, Georgia site is the largest U.S. research and development hub. This sustainably focused facility plays a vital role in manufacturing vaccines for pets, poultry, and wildlife, creating nearly 100 million doses that are distributed in about 80 countries worldwide.

Beyond Georgia, the company’s largest U.S. Animal Health manufacturing site is in St. Joseph, Missouri, which has been in operation since 1917. This site produces close to one billion vaccines globally for equine, livestock, and other animals. Barceloneta, Puerto Rico is home to an additional U.S. manufacturing facility, which specializes in the production of pet parasiticides.
